things work a bit differently when it comes to ICE agents, but many of the same rules apply. you don’t have to open the door, you don’t offer any information, YOU HAVE RIGHTS.

there are some great and detailed state-by-state resources about how to respond and what your rights are if you encounter ICE agents in your home, at work, in public etc. i’ve linked ones for California and from the National Immigrant Justice Center, but i HIGHLY recommend checking out your specific state resources. arm yourself with information! now is the time!! stay safe out there and build a wall of resistance!!!

SilverV and Solavellan Fic Recs

It's been a minute, so I wanted to make a new sticky post where I link my own writing and also recommend some of my all-time favorite multi-chapter SilverV and Solavellan fics.

Highly recommend checking all of these out, as well these authors' other work! I swear to god, both of these ships attract the most insanely talented writers on the planet. I am constantly so impressed with and in awe of the stuff I've read!

First off, here are my two main long fics:

SilverV:

The Rebel Path - elf_trash Follows the story of Johnny and V's extremely messy relationship through the game and beyond. It stays close to canon but includes a rewrite of the endings and a fix-it, and also features a Kerry/V romance arc. Very angsty, you've been warned!

Solavellan:

Wildest Dreams - elf_trash A retelling of Veilguard with Lavellan as the protagonist (aka Lavellan IS Rook) that focuses on her complicated relationship with Solas. Starts near the end of Inquisition and continues through Veilguard and slightly beyond. Uses a lot of scrapped ideas from Joplin.

And here are some of my current and all-time favorites from each fandom! I limited myself to three for each ship (so this list is in no way exhaustive), and have listed them below in no particular order.

SilverV:

cut loose (before it gets late) - cherrykiss Literally cannot recommend this one highly enough!!!! Set post-game, Johnny has his body back, but V is still dying. It's about Johnny and V getting together and is wonderfully painful and incredibly fun. Read this one, you will NOT regret it.

Smoke and Retribution - madelinek Another one of my absolute favorites. This one is an AU where V is a popular musician during the same years as Samurai, and she enlists Johnny's help in getting out of her record deal with Arasaka. Fun, heartbreaking, and spicy!

Can You Feel The Sun? - heartofsnark This one follows the story of the game and features a V named Aidan, the author's deaf OC. Top tier Johnny banter and dialogue in this one, and it features a super unique and fleshed out OC if that's your thing!

Solavellan:

Requited - cursedhag A beautifully written, pitch perfect Inquisition rewrite that fully checks all the boxes! Features a lot of excellent Solas' POV that incorporates all the new lore reveals we learned in Veilguard. Do yourself a favor and read this!!!!

miles below the surface of the dawn - thefirstaidkit This fic is one of the most beautiful things I have ever read, period. On its face it's just 6 chapters of "there was only one bed" Inquisition-era Solavellan smut, but I stg the writer was channeling the spirit of Solas Dragon Age himself because it is the most perfect Solavellan smut I can imagine. Read this one, just trust me.

Martyr - existential_naptime If you like Solavellan angst, this one delivers in spades!!! It's set during Veilguard and explores what would happen if the Evanuris kidnapped the Inquisitor (and more specifically, how Solas would react). It is DELICIOUS and also extremely painful but well worth it!

Do yourself a favor and read these you won't regret it!!!

All the political discourse rn and I have seen NOBODY talking about The Third Wave???? Do you know what that is???? No???? Well Imma tell you! in 1967 high school teacher Ron Jones conducted an experiment during a lecture on the holocaust when they couldn't understand how the German people could allow the Nazi's to do such things to the jewish people. Jones started a movement called "The Third Wave" and told his students that the movement aimed to eliminate democracy. Jones postulated that democracy’s focus on individuality was against mankind’s “authoritarian” nature, which he aimed to emphasize with the movement’s motto: "Strength through discipline, strength through involvement." and only made simple changes on the first day like asking his students to sit properly, to raise their hands before speaking, and to address him as Mr. Jones. The experiment was meant to be only one day, but the students took to it. On day two a salute was made and the movement was called the third wave. It began to grow as his students not only took to his tactics, but other students wanted to join in. The line "Strength through community" was added in. And then on the third day as the movement grew again, the motto "Strength through action" was added. Students were given member cards, taught how to initiate new members, and were instructed to report anyone who did not abide by the rules. By the fourth day the experiment was blowing out of Jones' control so he told the students that it was a nationwide movement, and that he next day a presidential candidate of the Third Wave would announce its existence to the public. Students were asked to attend a rally at noon the next day, and three students who dissented were banished to the library while the rally was held- where jones had other friends pretend to be speakers before revealing the "president" of the movement: Adolf Hitler.

It emphasized being careful about who you follow. The experiment was made into a tv movie in 1981 called The Wave (which I highly recommend watching btw), and shows how easily people can fall into fascism. Please watch it or read the novel of the same name by Todd Strasser, or Check out the wikipedia page. Get yourself educated and use what you learn to protect your loved ones please.

Just noticed something cool.

Are Yuki Nakazawa's fanarts. It's fanwork. But she worked on the official content.

The last one makes the set not so innocent. Why? It was published before Y6. So it's not exactly a spoiler but we have some people with media literacy in the link click fandom. This? Not rocket science. As flashy as the dead wife trope, if you ask me.

We'll talk about the set as a whole.

Before I get into it, Yuki Nakazawa also published another fanart which, in retrospect, was an actual easter egg: "And Then There Were None"

This being established, we can assume there is something hidden there. Still, keep in mind that those are, once again, fanarts. It isn't going to stop me from noticing things. I recommend you look at each picture closely before you read any further.

First clue, which is solved: Vein is dead. Or pretending to be, probably. There are clear allusions of him leaving.

A word stands out: CAMFLAGUE. Twice actually: once on the poster and a second time on the magazine cover, concealed by Xia Fei's silhouette. This word? Not a word? it sounds a lot like CAMOUFLAGE though. Or so google keeps correcting me lmao.

which is an interesting word to hide in plain sight when you notice there are also two attempts at disguising Xia Fei as Vein: the coat and the glasses.

CAMFLAGUE is a made up 9 letters word. The Chinese tended to view life diametrically. So when a change occurred in one aspect of life, that change was a result of a change in its opposite. Therefore, as a symbol of extremity, "9" in Chinese Culture is also a warning, a turning point. In ancient Chinese Classic Yijing, or the "Book of Changes", wherever number "9" appears, it is a crucial point of change and transformation. FELIX also contains the number IX.

There is a glint to Xia Fei's left earring, a ring, and to Vein's necklace, a moon. First, earrings symbolize beauty and strength in Vaishnavism while in Hinduism, earrings symbolize elegance, strength, and identity, serving as integral ceremonial adornments, embodying transformation and the sacred nature of beauty in various narratives. Second, in tarot reading, The Moon is a card of illusion and deception, and therefore often suggests a time when something is not as it appears to be. Much to think about.

One object stands out in the bloody artwork of Vein: the blue and white Vase. Qinghua is traditional Chinese porcelain, painted in cobalt blue glaze on white porcelain. It's an art working on negative spaces. There are different patterns used for this technique, and lotus is one of them. I'm no expert in pottery, though there is obvious meaning lost in translation, as I love to tag it. However, the lotus is important motif, I can tell you that much. Mostly because of its relationship to Buddhism. Buddhism symbolism in Link Click is highly related to Vein's character (I made a long ass meta about this, go check it out if you have time to waste), specifically in term of "luck" and "enlightment".

Lastly, the artwork with Vein and the vase also show figurines of the characters in YINGDU. While a mini Lu Guang seems to be crying over a fallen Cheng Xiaoshi, Liu Xiao is looking right at Vein who is pointing at Xia Fei. It could mean many things so I won't expand on this gesture for now but it's worth mentioning.

In conclusion, I'd say there is a strong possiblity that Xia Fei might take Vein's place as Cheng Xiaoshi's killer, for revenge. He is looking for the truth and when he's going to find out who killed Vein, or who orchestrated his demise, he's going to go after them. He seems to have a good lead on people with powers too. And since he's studying applied physics, he might look for ways to give himself powers, artificially.

Of course, the presence of Liu Xiao in the fanarts and in Xia Fei's life is important but, as always, the mystery around his character makes any theory kind of pointless?

Don't worry, I still have ideas!

His relationship with Xia Fei is important to what is to come in Link Click season 3, that much is obvious.

The PV shows Liu Xiao as Xia Fei's agent or something, while Vein is watching over him from a distance, through screens. We know there is some kind of partnership between them even before that, despite the canon fact Xia Fei strongly dislikes Liu Xiao for some reasons. I think Liu Xiao is taking care of him for his own interests, though.

In Buddhism, whispering in the ear symbolizes a confidential communication method, reflecting the importance of privacy and personal expression in decision-making processes. Of course, in the context of YINGDU, we know it means Xia Fei is giving information on Cheng XIaoshi and Lu Guang to Liu Xiao, but we still don't know to what end.

Additionally, I'm working on a meta about what could be Vein, Liu Xiao and Xia Fei's powers. Basically, it's related to the fourth wall and how Link Click is starting to break it more and more in merch and other media. This meta made me think of it and I can't wait to share the concept with you all. It's based on the three wise monkeys that embody the proverbial principle "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil". Coincidentally, I do think Xia Fei is the one who speaks no evil and Liu Xiao is the one who hears no evil.

I think Xia Fei is just like Cheng Xiaoshi, emotion driven, but he's also very intelligent and surprisingly perceptive: he doesn't like Liu Xiao, he doesn't like working with/for him, he doesn't buy his friendly act. However, I don't see any future when he doesn't get used by Liu Xiao in his evil plans. With Vein out of the picture and Xia Fei's new motivation, it might not be easy to see through manipulations.

Wait and see!

Dinner is ready on the table, a delicious scent in the air. There are two glasses of wine on either side. You probably took an hour to cook it.

It’s cold. It’s been 5 and a half hours since you made it- the evening having turned to early, early morning. You were exhausted, but there was no way you were going to sleep without your husband.

Rain leaves tear tracks on your windows and you shudder as a clap of thunder makes you jump. The storm outside is really picking up and that gives you a little bit of hope. Maybe the weather is what’s keeping him so long.

You check your phone for what must have been the hundredth time this hour.

Staying late at practice, be home soon. <3

He’s stayed late at practice every day this week, despite you dropping hints that you’d like to see more of him. 

You’re not stupid. You know he’s probably cheating, but you hold on desperately to the fact that there’s no evidence. Whenever you try to talk to him about the time he spends with his fans, he tells you that you’re being jealous for no reason. Don’t you trust him? 

You married him knowing he had a large fanbase, and that many of the fans want to be with your husband despite him wearing that gold band on his finger. It never seemed like a problem. 

You look out the window and watch as lightning lights up the sky. The wind is blowing the trees sideways and, after another crack of lightning, followed closely by the clap of thunder, the power goes out.

Maybe he really is being held up by the storm. You start to picture his car in a ditch, skidded off the road from all the rain, or maybe totaled from a crash with another vehicle… What if he’s dying or dead and you’re here, betraying him by wondering if he’s been cheating.

Tears prick your eyes as true worry seeps through your concerns. If Oikawa died, you didn’t know what you’d do without him. 

Headlights shatter the darkness as a car drives down your street. You literally cross your fingers, begging whatever god will hear you that it’s your husband. Thankfully, the car rolls into your driveway and comes to a stop in front of your house.

You fling open the front door and run to the car. Oikawa leaves the front seat and holds out his arms wide for you to run into, a smile on his face. You’re so grateful that he’s home, that he’s alive and safe and well and-

When you ran into his arms, the wind was blowing towards you. On the wind, you can smell a strange perfume. Definitely not cologne- it’s flowery and expensive-smelling and it’s not yours.

You take a step back and look up at his face. His smile freezes at the sight of your blank face and slowly disappears as his own face goes pale. He knows that you know now, and it’s clear that he’s weighing his options.

You spin on your heels and storm into your home. Oikawa follows, still not saying a word. You grab the wine glass and throw it at him. He dodges it and it hits the wall, exploding into a shower of glass and red wine. There’s no doubts that you know and Oikawa goes straight into panic mode.

“Sweetie? Let’s talk about this!” Oikawa tries. You ignore him and head towards the bedroom and begin pulling your clothes out of the dresser and closet. Tears roll down your cheeks even as you remain silent.

He’s really starting to panic now, “It’s not what it seems, baby!”

A suitcase is pulled from the closet and slammed onto the bed, the clothes being the first objects to go inside. You’re doing your best to ignore him, but he’s not stopping.

“Baby, please, you’re the only one for me!” Oikawa’s practically begging you to respond, but you refuse and continue packing.

“It’s really not what you think,” Oikawa pleads. You pull your wedding ring from your finger and throw it at him with as much force as you can muster. That shuts him up- his mouth opens and closes like a fish out of water.

“No, no, no, no, no,” Oikawa chants, “You don’t mean it.”

You zip up the suitcase, finally finished packing. You’ll come back for the rest of your stuff, but for now, this is all you need.

“I love you,” Oikawa’s voice cracks, “I swear, she meant nothing. It was just a mistake- a stupid-”

“Then why do it?” you scream, “Why do it?”

His eyes widen at the volume and intensity of your voice, “It was a moment of weakness, I didn’t-”

“I don’t even care,” you laughed sardonically, “Fuck you.”

Oikawa follows you, pleading for your forgiveness, even as you close the car door in his face and drive away, leaving his soaked, pathetic form in your rearview mirror.

Your phone starts to receive notifications. Just a couple at first, then constant messages and calls. You turn it off completely and wipe your tears away so you can see where you’re driving.

Where are you?

I know you’re seeing these messages. Please respond.

You stare blankly at your phone until your mother snatches it away, saying, “It’s not good to look at his messages, it’ll just make you feel worse.”

You nod in agreement. She’s right. She’s always been right: about Oikawa and his flirtatious nature. She’d never trusted him, but she has the decency not to remind you.

It’s not long until your mother goes back to bed- it’s the crack of dawn now. You hear a knock at the door and freeze. There’s a camera on her tablet that shows the front porch. Unsurprisingly, Oikawa is standing there, knocking insistently.

“Go away,” you say to the tablet, which plays the sound on the front porch. Oikawa jumps on camera, then turns to the doorbell camera and begins his speech.

“Tell me what to do, (Y/n), sweetie, I’ll do anything. Anything to get you back.”

“Cut off your dick,” you said coldly.

Oikawa chuckles, “You’re so silly. But honestly?” he moves closer to the camera, “I’d do it, if you’d come back to me… Please, just come outside so we can talk face-to-face.”

“No.”

“What do you want me to do?” he wails, tears forming in his eyes, “You want me to never talk to another girl again? I’ll do it. Quit volleyball? Kill her? I’ll fucking do it.”

A shiver runs down your spine. Is he serious?

“Get lost. I want nothing to do with you anymore.”

“Tell me in person, then. Not just over this stupid doorbell.”

Against your better judgement, you open the front door just a crack, “Go away.”

He’s sobbing now, wiping at the stream of tears and snot running down his face. His big brown eyes are glassy and his bottom lip can’t stop trembling. He looks pathetic and you hate that a part of you feels bad.

“I messed up,” Oikawa whimpers, “I know I messed up big time. But please- we can go to marriage counseling! I’ll never even look at another girl again. I’ll quit volleyball, just please…”

He lets out a sob that turns into a hiccup midway, “I- I love you!”

You step outside and put a hand on his shoulder, “Look, maybe we could-” You’re cut off as Oikawa slams a cloth over your mouth. You gasp in shock and immediately feel the effects of whatever drug he’s put on it.

“It’s okay, we’ll move past this together,” Oikawa says, still sniffling a little, “I’ll be the best husband ever from now on. Cross my heart and hope to die!”

You'll Just Have to Remind Me by the_e_sea (t, carcar, memory loss) this fic is still in progress, but so far, I'm loving it. carlos has antiretrograde amnesia which means he wakes up every day thinking it is the same as the day before, and he keeps going to the convenience store every night where oscar works to buy dryer sheets. oscar begins to realize that there's something a little strange about the same guy buying dryer sheets every single night and engaging him in the exact same conversation each time. when i first started it i was a little confused as to how it could be carcar if carlos never remembers what has happened during his day but the dynamic is carried out so well and it feels really natural and lifelike. definitely recommend it, i'm excited to see more of this one.

blood chem by @sediciii (e, lestappen, vampire, roommates) i'm a sucker for vampire fics (pun intended). this one is probably my favorite i have ever read. it's a lestappen oneshot. max is a vampire, and charles is his all-too-willing-to-help roommate. max looks forward to charles coming back to the room so that he can feed, and charles looks forward to letting max feed for... other reasons. it's very sexy and a little soft, and i love the dynamic between the two of them

purpose in you by @charlescoded (e, lestappen, arranged marriage, dune au) it's a lestappen dune au oneshot. if you know about dune, charles is a member of the benegesserit and max takes on like a feyd-rautha-type role, and they have an arranged marriage. it got posted right when i was watching the second dune movie for the first time, so it was perfect timing to hook me in. i wish there were more fics in dune au because i feel like that universe has a lot to offer. i cannot express enough how much i am absolutely obsessed with this piece. it is written at a level of writing quality i can only aspire to ever write in my lifetime. the whole piece is entirely enthralling. it is the second part of the series, but this is the one i always reread. the first part is breeding grounds

Ruckus by @tylersayscool (e, lestappen, dystopian battle royale) let me start by saying that everything I've read from this author is so good, i highly recommend checking her out if you haven't already. this one is my favorite, here's the description because i don't think i can do it justice. "The students are taken to a deserted island, fitted with explosive collars, and given random weapons. They are instructed to kill each other until only one survivor remains. If no one is killed within a set time period, the collars will detonate, killing everyone." this fic has such a chokehold on me that i literally was quoting sections in my journal and dissecting them in like essay length entries LOL. the writing is so high quality and the plot is so interesting and unique.

Open my mouth, on my knees (for you) by @lovelylotusf1 (e, carcar) a little less than a year ago i was scrolling through the second round of F1 Kinkmeme submissions looking for oneshots to read and i found this one. funfact: my one fic "you're too sweet for me" was originally supposed to be a lestappen fic and then i read this piece and i was like 'damn i wanna write carcar' and i switched it to that instead. this is a carcar oneshot. here's the description: "Oscar has to deal with the consequences of a drunken confession he sent to Carlos. He gets more than he bargained for." i keep coming back to it because it has such a special place in my heart.

If you haven't seen Babygirl yet --- PLEASE fuckin' run to your theatre tonight or buy it as Video On Demand. DO ITTTT. Because you need to be ready for tomorrow.

That movie was fucking fantastic (and I say this while I generally skip most Nicole Kidman movies, because I don't really care for her acting), and I would highly recommend it to anyone to begin with - but especially if you like Pedro and also got pretty fucked up by that Father Figure dance he posted. I need to add, I'm a big fan of George Michael's music but I've always disliked this song, and most of y'all know that I'm not into daddy kink either - so I really went into this movie with low expectations but with trust in the director/producer/writer Halina Reijn, because she's fantastic.

(the one thing I'll "say"spoil" about the movie: unlike the song in the promo suggested, there's no daddy kink in it, and 'babygirl' is said only once, if I'm not wrong. So if any of that initially held you back from seeing it: go see it. Please.)

I'm so ridiculously excited about this omg omg omg. The movie is very well made and shows an approach to sexuality and desire that you just don't see much at all in movies, especially not regarding women. Very female gaze and feminist, which I love. Just... trust me. What I also loved and maybe can't quite explain is that to me the script very much felt as a fanfic - and with that I mean, not bothering with conventions and just being bold and direct about things.

Check Fandango to see if the movie is playing in a theatre near you or go see it online (you can get it as a rental at Prime, Apple TV, but there are probably also other sources out there if you don't want to shell out $20 for it). Because I bet they're most definitely going to talk about the movie in that podcast and asdfghjkl I CANNOT WAIT.

Hi! Do you have any recommendations for Black Canary stories? Been wanting to learn more about her and I'm not sure where to start/what's assured to be worthwhile.

Hah! I do have Black Canary recommendations, but they also come with a lot of asterisks. Loving Dinah is one of those situations where you spend a lot of time going 'UNFORTUNATELY'.

Where do you want to start?

If you want a story highly focused on Dinah herself?

If you want something you can pick up and fall in love with her without needing context (Dinah has SO much context), get yourself to Black Canary and Zatanna: Bloodspell. It’s probably the only title with ‘Black Canary’ in the name that I can recommend unequivocally without any asterisks.

Personally I have a massive soft spot for Black Canary 1993 (this is vol 2), which vibeswise has Ollie being terrible, Ray’s hopeless crush on Dinah, the first ever Dinah-Babs-Dick-Helena team up and some really fun art design. Unfortunately, it is incredibly written in the early 1990s and so needs warnings for, among other things “this contains a white slavery storyline”.

I do recommend Black Canary: The Best of the Best. Tom King’s doing pretty well at explaining context for everything happening in this story.

If you’re interested in Dinah with Ollie?

Start Grell’s run on Green Arrow at The Longbow Hunters and go from there into Green Arrow 1987. This is probably the most classic period of their relationship that everyone later will reflect back onto. I will however flag that Dinah gets assaulted, badly, during this run, and the fallout focuses far more on the effect that has on Ollie than Dinah herself.

Read Quiver (Green Arrow #1-12 2001) if you want to understand Dinah’s reaction to Ollie’s resurrection.

Go from the Wedding Planner and Wedding Specials 2007 and then read Green Arrow/Black Canary 2007 for at least Winick’s run (#1-14). A lot of people don’t like this run because of what it does to Connor, but if you are down for Dinah and Ollie shenanigans and silliness and banter, I find it highly entertaining.

If you want Dinah and Barbara together?

Start with Dixon’s run on Birds of Prey (the first oneshot is officially entitled “Birds of Prey: Black Canary/Oracle #1”, or just go for Birds of Prey #1 1999) if you want more James Bond missions where Dinah is Bond and Babs is her controller

Start with Simone’s run on Birds of Prey 1999 (it starts at #56) if you prefer Dinah leading a spec ops team for Barbara with a lot of complicated women having complicated friendships.

Dinah with Roy and Lian?

It’s not canonical and it very much picks up the vibes of Black Canary 2014, but it’s probably the best early years version of Dinah that’s been written so far. And again, it’s conveniently stand alone.

I wish I could recommend more of the Black Canary runs, but 1991 is slight and mostly Dinah being pissed at Ollie, 2007 was used as an excuse to write Dinah’s supporting characters out of the narrative in favour of Ollie’s, and 2014 has striking art but is a version of Dinah that not only has very little to do with other appearances, but gets retconned at the end of the run.

Dinah’s got solid runs in various Justice League books and the JSA revival in 1999, if you want her in bigger team books

Conclusion

It’s very flashy and attention grabbing to bundle it all up under race. You’d make an excellent talking head for FOX or MSNBC. But in truth i have quite seriously not seen a single criticism of Caitlyn based in good faith argument from the content. So yes, I will continue to assume they don’t understand for as long as they present their views in a way that suggests as much. Be it intentionally or through their own ignorance.

And listen, I’m assuming you are young based on this statement “white privileged people who have never been through any hardship in their life”. Everyone suffers. hi more drug question

I have been told many many times that using ecstasy will basically fry your seratonin receptors so that you will never be able to feel happy again unless you are using the drug. I am assuming now that this is false but I am curious now as to how false. Is it something that CAN happen if you take too much at once or too often, or is this just random Drug Scary misinformation

Also also since wellbutrin is not an SSRI does LSD work when you are on it or does it also cancel it out

lol that's kind of an extreme version of what I usually hear! you're right that basically the answer here is no. this comes from a couple different things. first is MDMA induced serotonin toxicity, and 2nd is something called "serotonin syndrome" which is a real thing that can happen, but it's really really hard to get like this. prepare for a very long answer lmfaooo

MDMA induced serotonin toxicity occurs when you take too high doses too frequently. MDMA IS slightly neurotoxic, but so are many prescription drugs so don't let that word freak you out too much! basically MDMA works by dumping large amounts of serotonin into your brain, hence why it's the happy/love drug lol. if you take too much too often, your brain will straight up run out of serotonin. obviously that's bad! it's not as simple as "never feeling happy again" but you will essentially have depression for a bit because of lack of serotonin (on its own, low serotonin levels following modest MDMA use is not damaging and resolves within a few days) but the real problem is that if you are on MDMA with depleted serotonin, your brain will continue releasing dopamine which will attach to the serotonin receptors and damage them. this is what can cause long term depression symptoms, the damaged serotonin receptors. ultimately your brain will heal this on its own unless for some reason I guess you keep taking it a lot (which would have no effect. when you take too much MDMA your brain just runs out of serotonin to dump so like. it just won't work lol)?? it can also be treated with the supplement NAC, which I would recommend taking any time you use MDMA because of this!

to sum up MDMA toxicity: it can happen but only if you're misusing it! it's generally recommended that you dont do much more than 1 dose every 3 months or so to make sure your brain has time to reset. research interactions with anything else you're using (prescription or not), take some NAC in the weeks following a dose, drink a lot of water, keep your body temperature regular because that can worsen it, and take some antioxidants like alpha lipoic acid and grape seed oil during/immediately after taking MDMA - it's when you come down that your brain is delicate and could use the protection. also this may sound counterintuitive but weed also has antioxidant properties, so smoking it as you come down helps a lot. also if you DO have MDMA toxicity taking more MDMA will not help u feel happy unfortunately it will just make it worse lol, your brain only has so much serotonin to give

now serotonin syndrome can happen with the misuse of any drug that works on serotonin including MAOIs, SSRIs, and SNRIs, usually by taking a VERY large dose (but some people are just extremely sensitive). it usually takes care of itself eventually, but the amount of time it takes and stuff is kinda hard to pin down bc it's REALLY misunderstood and tends to be overly self diagnosed. again this is like super super hard to do. you would have to take a MASSIVE dose or mix it with other serotonin affecting drugs (ESPECIALLY MAOIs. DO NOT MIX MDMA WITH MAOI ANTI DEPRESSANTS). like 5 times the normal dose at least probably (partner is currently trying to find some literature on it so he'll add that in the replies if he finds anything interesting). it will cause things like heightened anxiety and body temperature and can cause kidney problems or seizures if it's like really bad and untreated. but you'd feel REALLY bad before it got to that point, so in general like, if you take any type of drug and feel extremely bad after go to the doctor lol. mostly this will also just heal itself; your brain is pretty resilient! again usually if this does happen it's very minor. cases bad enough to require hospitalization are exceedingly rare

to give you an example of what these can look like, I have a friend who was given about 3-4 times a regular dose by a fucking piece of shit asshole she knows and, this part is crucial, it was mixed with a very large amount of alcohol AND acid (which can slightly increase the neurotoxicity. normally not a huge issue but becomes one in circumstances like this), AND coke; like she was blackout drunk and while not on a lot of acid or coke, this is just too many things to have in your body and brain at one time. the mixture of such a large amount different drugs caused her what I'm guessing was a mild case of both of these things at once. she experienced slightly worsened depression for about 6 months after, and actually had a mild stutter for almost a year. I made sure she took some NAC and other things that aid brain healing, and she didn't try molly again for a long time to be super sure she didn't overload her brain before it was ready. this is a pretty extreme case, and even with that she has fully recovered thankfully. do NOT EVER do drugs with someone you don't trust with your life. DO NOT EVER do drugs in doses you have not confirmed for yourself to be safe and DO NOT EVER mix drugs without finding out if it's safe!!! just as a small aside though: usually taking molly and acid at the same time is perfectly safe. in fact it's called a candy flip and I HIGHLY recommend it because it's fucking awesome. again, just make sure you are taking safe doses in a safe environment

OKAY now finally your specific question about Wellbutrin: I actually take Wellbutrin so I can answer this one from personal experience! Wellbutrin should not alter the effects of LSD in any way HOWEVER! both of these drugs lower your seizure threshold! I'm on the max dose of Wellbutrin (which is the max dose BECAUSE of seizure risk) so when I plan to drop acid I usually either skip my dose entirely that day or only take half depending on how much acid I'm planning to take. because of the way Wellbutrin works, this shouldn't cause you any problems as far as that goes. for me, not taking my Wellbutrin for a day mainly has the effect of making me more fatigued, and acid counteracts that really well by making me feel very awake/aware. if you don't want to skip or halve your dose though you can also take things that will RAISE your seizure threshold. so like I sometimes will smoke hemp because CBD actually will help with that. the risk here isn't huge either way especially if you have no history of seizures, but again if it's something you're concerned about you should be just fine skipping or lowering your dose for the day. acid usually lasts about 12 hours too so i personally don't even care about skipping the Wellbutrin that much because it basically does the same thing for me. I did take my full Wellbutrin dose the last couple times I've done acid though because I was taking a very small amount of acid (about half a tab)

in summation lol sort of TLDR I generally would recommend MDMA for recreational use because the risks of damage are low and it's safe if you are safe about it. and it's honestly just a really fun one! the only negative effect I've ever felt is some emotional and physical fatigue the following day, and this is largely because of how emotional and energetic you are on it. I just make sure to have the next day off to lay around and listen to music :)

taking it with a partner or loved one will give you an especially beautiful experience, as MDMA has been proven to facilitate extremely open emotional conversations. in fact, when MDMA was first synthesized it's primary use was in psychotherapy! research was shut down during the war on drugs, but in recent studies it's demonstrated amazing abilities to treat and even straight up CURE disorders like PTSD. for a personal anecdote, my partner actually completely fucking cured his alcoholism on a combo of MDMA and whippets (nitrous oxide) lmfao. like dude straight up went from getting black out drunk multiple nights a week to drinking nothing for the past year and a half without any other treatment program. LSD has been proven to have similar incredible results with treating and curing things like depression, anxiety, PTSD and addiction and is also a very fun and very safe one.

sorry to reiterate for the billionth time lol but it's important: these drugs are safe and fun if you make sure they're safe and fun! do your research and never use in an unfamiliar environment with people you wouldn't trust in an emergency! also I know this sounds like a lot, but remember I'm giving you like the absolute safest possible practices and emphasizing sort of over cautiousness because I think it's always better to be too safe. I've taken molly without nac and I've taken kinda big doses a little closer together than I should have without any problems. there's a bit of flexibility to these guidelines, but it's always better to think of them as being rigid so you don't end up too far in the other direction. like I've said it's really really hard to do actual damage that would last more than like a day or 2 max. most of the time you'll just be sleepy the next day from all the dancing so it's nice to do it on a day 1 of a weekend. also it only lasts like a couple of hours lol so it's not your whole day or anything!
